Getting invited into someones home and having the opportunity to share in their first moments of parenthood always leaves me feeling so grateful and re-energized. It’s such a huge transition and motherhood can be a very lonely place sometimes, but it is also very full of love. Finding where one fits in takes time but is one of the best journeys to be on. My own experiences with motherhood has definitely had ups and downs but knowing phases come and go was the most helpful thing I’ve learned so far. There is such beauty in that close bond between mother and baby, that the world has stopped around you as you soak it all in. It was lovely seeing this beautiful family figuring out their new dynamic and the relationships forming. Little River is going to simply adore his big sister and learn so much from her. Thank you for letting me be apart of your journey.

Mitchell Mini Newborn — Venice, CA

I absolutely loved my morning with this family. They were so loving and cute with their sweet baby boy and with each other. The close bond between them really resonated in their photographs and made for the most enjoyable session. Wyatt, you are one very lucky little man. Given Newborn Session — Culver City, CA — Fox Hills Park

This adorable family welcomed their newest member in May and I couldn't be happier for them! He is an absolute cutie. I feel a great connection with them because they are on a very similar family path as my own. We had both of our children weeks apart over the years which means we can relate to the joys and struggles our children are having with adjusting to a newborn. It was a pleasure spending the morning with you all and sharing in our journeys. 

Kaehli-Henkel Mini Newborn Session — Santa Monica, CA — Tongva Park

This lovely family welcomed a new little boy into their midst early this year and what a sweet treat it was for me to capture their joy. His big brother is going to be such a great companion as they grow up together. What a pleasure, I love my job! 

Tabora Newborn Session — Mar Vista, CA

The Tabora Family was simply wonderful. They welcomed me into their home so graciously and I enjoyed spending our time together celebrating the arrival of sweet Oliver. Their two dogs were also very interested in what was happening during the session and joined in on the action when they could. I can see hours of fun in their future as Oliver grows to be an adventurous playmate. I love seeing couples navigating this new role and learning about the personality their child will have. The journey into parenthood is such a magical—and tiring—time, but so full of love and closeness. I am honored to take a glimpse into this fresh new world and preserve a few of the moments for this sweet family. 

Montesi-Cashion Maternity/Birth/Newborn Sessions — Santa Monica, CA

The Montesi-Cashion Family are dear friends and it brings so much joy to share in their milestones. It means the world to me that they trusted me with these special moments and it's awesome to watch them grow as a family together. This past year was a big one for them— they added a new member, baby Jules, to their family. I was lucky to capture their journey—before, during and after birth. Their maternity session was relaxed and cozy; we kept it simple by staying in and around their home. Their son, Sam, is great in front of the camera and I love seeing his personality shine through in the photographs. About a month later we were at the hospital together welcoming baby Jules into this world. Jennifer was strong and fierce durning her delivery. Being included in something so special will be a treasured memory I'll hold dear to me always. After the family got settled at home, they had their newborn session and we celebrated their journey into a family of four! Jennifer and Trotter are amazing parents and even though the first few months are tough, they adjusted with barely skipping a beat. Congratulations and I am so excited to see your family continue to grow over the years!

Thomas Newborn Session — Santa Monica, CA

I was able to join The Thomas Family as they were welcoming sweet Raymond home and getting settled in their new routine. He was so alert and curious about everything happening in the world around him, especially all the camera clicking. I caught lots of yawning before he finally drifted off to sleep for some snuggly photos with his homemade blanket. He's got a very cozy room to grow up in and super sweet parents to help guide him on his journey. Such a pleasure to spend the morning with your family!

Lee-Chong Newborn Session — Glendale, CA

I always feel so honored when I get to visit a newborn that's only weeks old and freeze this moment in time with my photographs for the family. Christy and Yoana were such naturals and I really enjoyed getting to spend a morning with their growing family. Cara was the perfect little subject as well, very relaxed and open to every pose. 

Yilmaz Newborn Session — Los Angeles, CA

This little sweetheart was a joy to photograph. She loved looking all around with those beautiful bright eyes! This was a very special session for me, it was my first newborn session, professionally, and I couldn't have imagined a better family to do it with. I learned so much about my craft and my style as a documentary photographer, but I also made a friend along the way. Amelia is very lucky to have such a loving family to welcome her into this world!
